Art From The Streets

We explore Art From The Streets in Singapore.

Easily one of the best street art exhibitions in long time, Art From The Streets appears at the  ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay Sands. Curated by Street Art expert and writer Magda Danysz, Art from the Streets explores the movement’s counter-cultural beginnings and its extraordinary evolution as a contemporary art form.

This truly impressive exhibition brings together large-scale mural paintings, installations, videos, sketches and archival material from some of the most iconic names in the Street Art movement, featuring some of the most important graffiti originators and street artists of today.

With bold, seminal pieces from the old school by the likes of Futura, Blade, Seen and Dondi to the leading names in contemporary Street Art of today, this is a very compelling collection and a must see for any hip hopper, graffiti writer or street art enthusiast.

There are several exhibits created especially for the exhibition and painted directly onto the museum walls, these commissions profile the work of Spanish Street Art sensation Felipe Pantone amoungst others and shines a spotlight on urban art in Southeast Asia with the work of Indonesian artist Eko Nugroho and Singaporean artists Speak Cryptic and Yok & Sheryo.

Art From The Streets runs through to 3rd June 2018.
