Are Betty's Burgers Better?

Having already made a splash in the city, this Queensland import named after the owners Grandmother has also landed along the Chapel Street strip.

With it’s Brizvegas slash Miami feel, you can’t possibly miss Betty’s as it stands out like sore thumb in Windsor, but it is a fun looking place that has taken over the corner spot previously occupied by Mad Mex.

Replete with an abundance of hanging plants set amongst the pastel tones, Betty’s offers a small selection of ten classic burgers that include a beef burger, along with a couple of chicken ones, a pork burger as well as a mushroom one and of course there’s a kids burger too. For those of you that want to go sans bun, you can have yours wrapped in lettuce instead. Feel better?

On this drop in, we tried the Spicy Chicken which offers a Southern fried piece of chicken, bacon, pickles, lettuce, tomato, cheese with a nice dollop of Sriracha mayo. It was good without being inspirational and with so much burgerlicious competition near by Betty may need to throw a hail Mary to climb to the top of burger chain.

Oh and if you’re wondering what a Concrete is, well it’s a frozen custard, ice cream dessert, that you can add a bunch of toppings to.

Bottom Line: Not a swing and a miss, but not something you’d go out of your way for.
