Ramadan Delights at Al Waha
Seems like Business Bay is really starting to emerge on the hospitality scene with a host of recent Hotel openings across the precinct. One relatively new entrant is the 4 Star Gulf Court Hotel which boasts 270 guest suites across several room types from Standard and Deluxe all the up to the Penthouse Rooms.
The main lobby is actually quite impressive and gives off an air of luxury surpassing it’s official rating.
There are several culinary destinations within the venue including Cafe Delices, Naisa Oriental Restaurant, the sport bar - Sports On 4, along with the outdoor Canal Lounge and a Karaoke bar called The Other Office. Of course there’s also the all day dining venue named Al Waha Restaurant, which is where we found ourselves for their handsomely presented Iftar.
Al Waha offers a compact space that comes with no pretension, allowing for a relaxed environment that’s family friendly.
The Iftar offers a nice selection of Ramadan hits like the wonderful Emirati Biryani and the Bahraini Tareed which was a delicious beef stew with okra. Of course you’ll also find all the Arabic Mezzeh classics from Humous, Tabbouleh and Moutabal through to Fattoush, Ouzi and Shish Tawook.
For those with a sweet tooth you won’t be dissapointed as there’s a whole section of sweet treats to choose from, along with Jalab, Arabic Coffee and Tea.
With a family friendly atmosphere and a compelling price point of 95 Dirhams there’s probably no reason not to check out this new hotel in Business Bay yourself.
