Pots, Pans and Boards

Since its 2015 inception Tom Aiken’s Pot’s Pans and Boards been a solid performer, always reliably dishing up family friendly and reasonably priced Mediterraneanesque (that’s a word right?) fare with a little British and French influence thrown in for a twist.

There’s nothing pretentious about the place and the design of the space takes the well trodden rustic approach featuring reclaimed wood and mismatched furniture to deliver an uptempo casual eatery that is approachable and relaxing.

If the space is down to earth, so too is the food. There’s nothing too fussy on the menu which runs through an all day breakfast and onto to sandwiches and burgers with mains served in yep you guessed it - pots, pans and boards.

Of these, the Slow Cooked Beef Cheeks, The Roast Chicken and Flank Steak at around 120 Dirhams each are all excellent choices providing solid flavors, perfectly cooked proteins and nicely done sides. My personal favorite is the superb Flank Steak which has always been bang on with it’s Mojo Rojo Sauce.

If you’re bringing the young ones, you’ll be more than pleased to find a fantastic kids play area which always proves to be a big hit, helping mum and dad to take a quick time out over a coffee, or heaven forbid an entire meal!

Overall, PPB’s staying power has got to be down to getting all the basics right: great service, family friendly, good location with parking and excellent food at just the right price.
