This isn’t the first crack Jamie Oliver has had at Dubai.
While previous locales have long since vanished, a new, much smaller scaled and ambitioned pizza joint offers a low key return to the city.
JLT is packed with tiny outlets of all culinary persuasions, there’s plenty of choice when it comes to pizza too. So what’s the naked chef got going here to entice the crowd?
Other than celebrity status, probably an amazing Garlic Bread, aptly named the Ultimate Garlic Bread and at 19 Dirhams, this brioche-based number is extremely good. Real garlic chips, melted cheese and butter, rosemary and a sprinkling of salt is the ticket to one hell of a garlic bread.
As for the pizzas, they’re competent but not dazzling. There’s some good choices as well as two different crust styles, wholegrain or classic. For those on a diet or pretending to be, there’s also half-sized pizzas with a salad.
If you’re in or near JLT it’s worth a quick trip if for no ther reason than to try the standout garlic bread!
