Breakfast at Brew Brothers Hong Kong

Breakfast at Brew Brothers Hong Kong

Brew No. 2 is the second outlet for self confessed coffee geek Japanese barista Hikaru Ono.

Perched a little way up Hill Road in Shek Tong Tsui in a tiny nondescript shop, it’s pretty easy to miss it. Once you do find it you’ll be glad you did if you love good coffee and Melbourne style breakfasts.

Because that’s exactly what the Brew Brothers are all about.

It’s small place and you’ll find yourself almost rubbing shoulders with others, so if you want a table, you’ll need to get down there early. Thankfully we were staying at the near by Hotel Jen, so it took all of three minutes to walk there.

For caffeine junkies, you’ll be pleased to hear that Brew Brothers import their coffee from Market Lane in Melbourne, while morning munchers will rejoice at a well crafted menu of breakfast eats.

Of course a double macchiato is always welcomed in the morning, and theirs was a good one. It was strong without being overly bitter.

On this visit we tucked into their classic BELT and an interesting special from the board - a crab meat poached egg bun.

Both were executed well and really hit spot.

Will great coffee and super breakfasts it’s really not hard to see why Brew Brothers has such a cult following. Next time you’re over in HK, check it out.
