American BBQ is really starting to make it’s presence felt in Dubai and with the arrival of Dave - with more than 700 awards stuffed in his back pocket, Famous Dave’s new joint at Festival City was always going to be something I needed to be a part of.
One of the sprinkling of eateries on Bluewaters to become fully operational is the Selfish Bull, which is word play based around the idea of surf n turf. That means you can expect steaks and seafood along with some tasty sides to compliment these two staples.
So the much vaunted Pointe on the Palm has finally opened and along with it, a whole host of new restaurants. As far as the destination goes, you could think of it as Club Vista Mare on steroids. The Pointe is not a small locale and when fully up and running is said to have no less than 100 restaurants. The most complete of these thus far seems to be the Chicago Meatpackers Bar & Grill
A Hotels, is definitely stepping up their game with 2 new offerings following hot on the heels of the Girders Garden, Tribeca and now Penthouse 25.
This is not you're average diner. If you've ever been to the states and eaten at a 'real' dinner you will immediately know that this high end interpretation does the genre justice and in spectacular style. Firebird Diner pays tribute to the iconic American eatery of the 1950s, with some clever menu choices that pay close attention to the details.
Supposedly a Canadian inspired bar - Ten Street offers a clean, semi industrial fit out which is on this evening an eerily quiet locale. Being tucked away in the back corner on the first floor of Al Fattan towers probably doesn't exactly help, you can only hope that they got the place for a song because it's a rather large space.
