Oliver Lane plays host to a little slice of the Big Apple with this New York inspired brunch spot. Expect long lines out the door for their famous Breakfast Bagels and Sandwiches, there’s also an all day eggs menu which is as long as your arm.
With nine outlets across Melbourne it’s clear Dainty has struck a chord with those that love it hot. Be that hot pot or Sichuan spicy hot…
Every now and then you stumble across an unexpected find. Located on the corner of Hornby and James Street, this tiny place harks back to a bygone era and it really made my day.
The story goes that the guys started working on Easey's in 2014 and finally opened the doors a year later and in the process gained a huge amount of attention by appearing on all the major Australian television networks. It's definitely a unique destination and the guys have done well to create a lot of hype and social buzz but is Easey's actually any good?
We don’t know but there’s no doubt that Melbourne does breakfast well and there’s plenty of amazing places to choose from when it comes to getting your AM feed on. One destination to put on your breakfast bucket list – if that’s actually a thing, is the Journeyman Café on Chapel Street, Windsor.
For those that need to know these things, Trịnh Thị Ngọ, also known as Thu Hương and Hanoi Hannah, was a Silky-voiced propaganda broadcaster and Vietnamese radio personality best known for her work during the Vietnam War. Walking into the tiny space that is Hanoi Hannah in Windsor none of this is of any concern.
Amok is the brainchild of chef and proprietor Woody Chet, who’s deft ability to fuse quality Australian produce with his native Cambodian style provides a menu packed full of highlights and flavors that is a must try for anyone that appreciates Asian Cuisine.
Who doesn’t love Asian Street Food? We explore Hawker Hall in Windosr to see if it really lives up to the hype.
Offering American comfort food staples including hot chicks, dirty dogs and greasy buns this is one heck of place in South Yarra with an Ozark meets Pulp Fiction vibe. If this place was actually in the states it would be a dicey proposition after dark. Remorsefully, it turns out the staff are super friendly and don’t actually wield shotguns.
Deep within the confines of the Prahran Market, you will likely come across a beautifully restored antique French food cart. Once you have found it, our advice would be to immediately stop everything you're doing and indulge in one of the best melted cheese sandwiches you've ever had.
A casual stroll around Windsor will provide plenty of inspiration and there's no way you'll be stuck for choice when it comes to eating, morning, noon or night. It really just comes down to what flavor you're chasing at that moment. When it comes to chasing flavors, there's always a few classics to seek out and the eponymous burger is one such item that can’t be ignored.
Ten years in and for whatever reason, Red Door seems to have been cast off as the unassuming neighbor of it’s much more heralded Windsor inhabitants. Tucked away down a nondescript lane way it has been described as the hidden gem of the area (which is a completely over used term to describe quaint little food outlets that are actually pretty good). Having got that out the system, that’s exactly what Red Door is, a quaint Asian eatery that pushes out great food.
Who doesn’t love a good breakfast? Seems everyone in Prahran does and one place they seek out is Tall timber. This popular Prahran haunt serves up some great coffee and equally good food to a clearly parochial crowd and when the weather is with you Tall Timber's rear courtyard is an amazing place to find yourself for a beautiful weekend breakfast slash brunch – not the Dubai kind.
This isn’t a spiritual tale of inter connectedness but one of roaming the streets of Prahran. If you’ve ever taken a stroll around Windsor, it doesn’t take long to realize that this is a foodie haven. There's a lot going on with culinary temptations at every turn, so it would be forgivable if you missed a humble little cafe tucked away in a back corner of Chapel Street next to the Windsor Train Station, but let me tell you - Two lost Boys is definitely one spot that's worth finding.
