Sitting in an unassuming spot at the Dubai Motordrome lies an all new Food Truck named Valu Burger. While value may be the name of their game, flavor is what they deliver in spades.
It’s busy, people are everywhere hustling for a table amongst the jovial sounds of diners chatting, taking photos and otherwise enjoying their meal. This is Bodega - a tiny slice of Manila at Centurian Star Tower in Diera.
The High Joint has become a cult classic in Dubai for all burger lovers. We stop by their new outlet in Motor City to try out their exclusive new menu.
Calling out to all vegan food lovers, over at Al Quoz Pond Park there’s great spot now named Wabi Sabi.
Don’t you just love it when you stumble upon a place that’s you all over?
We discovered Daikan way back when they first started - before they actually started.
We’ve loved their ramen ever since.
Apparently a pizza satellite was found orbiting the moon in 1932. We’ve not been able to verify this but the folks over at Moon Slice believe this is how their Pizza Space came into being and it’s a pretty cool spot.
Found in Depachika, Salmontini eschews the luxe stylings of more glamorous and larger Japnaese restaurants to deliver simply outstanding quality sushi and sashimi that won’t break the bank.
Aussie style breakfast spot, Stomping Grounds has become a cult classic for early morning feasts and it’s not hard to see why.
Starting out as one of the cities original taco trucks, Maiz Tacos now has a lovely designed home in JLT, where they knock out Award Winning Tacos and awesome burgers under the Good Burger banner.
Do you ever just feel like grabbing some good honest food in a no fuss place that gets it? Well the Roost could be the place for you - that is unless you don’t like perfectly roasted chicken.
By now you would probably know a few of the things that get me excited and one of them that’s high on the list is obscure, independent food spots. One such locale is Maisan 15, formally of Cabin name and fame, located in the back blocks of Barsha South near the Dubai Autodrome.
A few years back had you have mentioned you were having breakfast in Al Quoz people would have thought you were either lost or maybe having a bite at work at the factory. Tom & Serge changed all that and there have been quite a few home grown cafes that have followed in similar foot steps.
When Daikan first opened it was in a kind of temporary arrangement in the old Meatballers joint in the Marina. Finally, after what has seemed like an eternity the fully fledged location is up and running over at Cluster Y in JLT.
Serving up Home style Tacos and Burritos with a minimal fanfare, this outlet offers a simple one page menu that smacks of authenticity while the food smacks of good times and big flavors.
No this isn’t a story about Cypress Hill, but rather a quick tale about a great little burger joint in Al Safa that seats five people. I said little and meant it. It’s tiny but pumping out burgers with big flavors.
We recently checked this interesting spot in the Marina out. While we didn’t exactly work up a sweat before indulging in breakfast it was just as satisfying. With a really interesting menu, simple industrial looks and excellent coffee there’s no doubt this place has got it going on.
Let's face it, being hidden doesn't actually automatically guarantee 'gem' status but Nippon has been exceptionally well executed to deliver an off beat Japanese street culture infused, whisky quaffing, prohibition style bar that mostly hits all the right notes.
While I don’t really go out of my way to frequent chain restaurants, I have to admit the Wagamama dining concept is a good one.
